ASD to provide Systems Development Lifecycle Support for the New York State Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) eMedNY

Advanced Software Design Inc. (ASD) has been awarded systems development lifecycle support contract by Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) for the New York State Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) “eMedNY” program.

Under the contract, ASD will provide analysis, design, specification, development, implementation, management, and evolution of highly complex systems including product design, release testing and beta verification on complex applications.

NYS Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), referred to as eMedNY, is the Web-enabled system processes eligibility verifications, claim submissions, and prior-authorization requests from the state’s 75,000 participating healthcare providers. It manages over 450 million claims and encounters, and 150 million eligibility and prior authorization transactions. The system’s state-of-the-art components provide true 24X7 availability. It has produced workplace efficiencies for state and county staff that have achieved significant program savings.
