ASD to provide Website Infrastructure (WSI) IDM Upgrade Configuration and Installation Support for the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)

Advanced Software Design Inc. (ASD) has been awarded Website Infrastructure (WSI) IDM Upgrade, Configuration and Installation support contract by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Under this contract, ASD will provide the technical guidance and support to the DMV Identity and Access Management (IAM) staff with planning, configuration, and migration of the identified P5 servers to P770 LPARs within the WSI Production environment. Specifically, the upgraded LPARs will support the WSI ISIM directory, ISIM database, and the ISAM directory. ASD will also support in repurposing the four P5 servers and deploying them within the existing WSI Test environment.

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Website Infrastructure (WSI) project provides Internet access to many of DMV’s customer services. The DMV WSI system is a high-availability service and the objective for this project is to improve performance and data load capacity of WSI by upgrading the hardware and software components, including migration of IBM Secure Identity Management (ISIM) directory, ISIM database (DB2), and the IBM Secure Access Management (ISAM) directory from IBM P550s to IBM P770s.
